The Minneapolis Youth Coordinating Board wants to hear from you. Our Youth and Family Safety Perceptions Study asks Minneapolis residents how safe young people and families actually feel: in their neighborhoods, on transit, in parks and youth spaces, and in everyday life.

Take the survey. It takes just a few minutes on any phone or computer.

What the survey is for

How safe people feel depends on many things at once: exposure to crime, trust in institutions, transportation and access to youth spaces, public conflict, and family stability. The list goes on and on, depending on what is in your mind and life. Thus, the study measures these conditions from 2023 through 2026, so the YCB can direct youth-centered responses where they are needed most. Responses feed anonymous neighborhood summaries and a dashboard that guide policy briefings and intentional action.
