Take the survey
Share how safe young people and families feel in Minneapolis neighborhoods, on transit, and in parks, libraries, schools, programs, and other community spaces. The anonymous Youth and Family Safety Perceptions Survey asks about neighborhood safety, trusted adults, youth voice, public conditions, family stability, and priorities for a safer Minneapolis.
The study also examines immigration and enforcement experiences, crime trends, shootings and gun violence, violence prevention, school and park safety, transit safety, and trust in public institutions. These connected issues help identify where young people and families feel supported and where coordinated action is needed.
Everyday needs shape how people experience Minneapolis. If you look for or use after-school programs, child care, housing assistance, employment resources, small-business support, public transit, libraries, recreation, community events, or family services, your experience can help the study understand what makes people feel welcome, supported, and safe. You can participate if you live, work, study, provide services, operate a business, or regularly use Minneapolis facilities.
